Question

I am currently in a situation which is a bit of a difficult one and I don't know what to do. I intend on getting married Insha'Allah and there is this is guy I knew for a month, who then came home with his mum and sister to meet me because we wanted to make nikkah and abstain from getting caught up in a haram relationship. And alhamdulilah he's a really good person, very deeny inclined and comes from an excellent pious family Alhamdulilah. I know he really is interested in getting married to me and I am to. However the family disapproves of us making nikkah and they think he is going through a phase in life and he'll get over it and he's still young, however he is 23 and quite mature and his parents think he can find someone better for himself. I really don't know what to do, I keep making dua, I turn to Allah on a daily basis in my tahajjud salaah, seeking help and guidance. However I need some advice on what to do and how to deal with this, or is their any way forward.

Answer

Assalaamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullaahi wa Barakaatuhu
Respected sister,

For Dua, perform Salatul Hajat and Tahajjud daily.  Friday night and after Asr are best times for dua, recite lots of Durood Shareef.

If his parents change their decision, make Shukr. But if they don't, have Sabr and keep yourself busy with other good deeds (Zikr, Quran, dawah, Taleem learning online courses from sister teachers).
